Vuelta a España 2024 Stage 4
The Vuelta a España starts on the 17th of August and finishes on the 8th of September.
The 167-kilometer stage from Plasencia to Pico Villuercas is the first stage on Spanish soil and will be the first mountain stage of the race.
The stage will feature three categorized climbs, including the Cat. 1 Puerto de San Glorio, which will be the highest point of the stage at 1,609 meters. The stage is expected to be a tough test for the riders, with the first major mountain stage of the race coming so early on.
The Vuelta a España is one of the three Grand Tours, and is considered to be one of the most prestigious races in the world. The race is always a closely fought contest, and the 2024 edition is expected to be no different.
